PLTC A TRIPLE WINNER AT THE TENNIS AUCKLAND'S GALA DINNER AND CLUB AWARDS EVENING

The evening function, held on Saturday 12 August, was a true testament of how PLTC has moved forward into a new era as a premier tennis club.  We took out three key awards. The first was for ‘Club Event of the Year’ reflecting the huge amount of work done for our 150th celebrations. The second award was for ‘Club Volunteer’ where Gail Mazur was recognised for her untold number of hours helping with so many duties at the Club.  Finally, we won the prestigious “Club of the Year” award.  The awards reflect the work done by our wonderful new manager (Feleti) and Club Coach (Adam) as well as the many hours spent by your committee to future proof our Club for another 150 years.
Thank you to all PLTC members for being part of these exciting times.

PLTC CLUB SERVICE AWARDS THIS FRIDAY

We are going to have a special evening this Friday to recognise four of our members who have done an amazing amount of work for the Club over the years. Come and join us from 6:00pm (when a glass of Louis Roederer will be on special) and see who these four members are.  As long as there are no changes to our deputy Mayor's schedule, Desley Simpson will be available to do the presentations close to 7pm and we will also hear from Tennis Auckland Chairman Howard Lewis about the ASB Classic and what is happening about the roof!

WEDNESDAY CLUB NIGHTS - 5.45pm for 6pm

Despite some of the weather we have had a really good turn out over recent weeks for our club night where everyone has the opportunity to get some drill type sessions and then a chance to play some doubles followed by a beverage and piece of Sal's pizza. The weather this coming Wednesday is looking ‘ok’ but keep an eye on our ap alert to confirm we will be playing.

BUSINESS HOUSE COMMENCES THIS WEEK

• Thursday August 17- This is going to be great fun and has been on our calendar for many years. Let Feleti know if you are keen to sponsor a team and that you are ready to play either every week or as a reserve.

OCTOBER/NOVEMBER

• Friday October 13 - Black Friday tournament. This is always a great tournament and we are sure our amazing ex-President, Doug Anderson,  will be in town to fire up the BBQ.
• Friday November 10 - Pro Am tournament (tbc).
• Sunday November 26 - Battle of the Bridge - Northcote Club (tbc).

JUNIOR COACHING
