Mission Bay Challenge BOOM!!! 2024 Parnell Vs Mission Bay Challenge The sun came out to play, with some very strong tennis in the weekend. Thank you Mission Bay Tennis Club for a fantastic day! PARNELL took back the trophy this time, after last years defeat. Thank you Parnell for the great hospitality! Thanks to everyone that quietly worked so hard behind the scenes, without me having to ask. It was a very sociable evening after the presentations and some even got onto a bit of dancing and Karaoke! Parnell Lawn Tennis Club look forward to Mission Bay hosting us next year Congratulations PLTC! SEE PHOTOS BELOW OF THE FESTIVITIES OF THE TOURNAMENT.
Please enter your Juniors for the JUNIOR Club Champs here as Feleti will be making up the draws soon. All welcome if you are under 18 of course. No need for expert level - all levels are welcome to play. It is just such a tremendous experience for new-comers as well. Please remember Goran's holiday coaching and also Adam has a few juniors before school. Also Goran has some super school holiday coaching available - get in quick!

Rest in Peace PETER HEWITT It is with sadness that we have lost our dear friend and tennis buddy Peter Hewitt. He passed away at the weekend with his family by his side. It is a huge loss to our club and to the community. He will be remembered for his sporting prowess as well as being so kind and generous with his time. He also had that gentlemanly nature, yet with a little spark of fun. Here he is pictured with former President Paul Harvey (glasses) with our Peter to the left “Team Tomato”

Our sincere condolences to his family at such a difficult time. “I know many will still be reflecting the far too soon departure of our Peter. Saturday 6th July Jan has organised this to be held at the Parnell Tennis Club 4pm – 7pm. "Peter’s second home, or was that his first?" This is open to all of Peter’s friends. If possible, an RSVP to help with the catering requirements but please do not be put off if you haven’t advised. However if you can, email Feleti. |

SCHOOL HOLIDAY TENNIS COACHING PROGRAMME At Parnell Lawn Tennis Club, NZ Premier Club First week: 8-12 July, Second week: 15-19July, Third week: 22-26 July. Flexible enrolments, Time: 9am-12pm, 12pm-3pm or 9am-3pm.

WEEKLY… AT PLTC WEDNESDAY CLUB NIGHT 5.45pm for 6:00pm start every Wednesday evening - Check “The App’ for weather. Fabulous sessions of fun and active-paced “drill” type sessions and then a chance to play some doubles. Followed by a beverage and a piece of Sal's pizza. Do keep an eye on our APP alert to confirm we will be playing. Ideal for new members. Also, remind anyone who may be interested in joining PLTC that this is a great way to get a good feel for the club and its facilities. MID WEEK LADIES Enjoy a fun Wednesday morning of social tennis with the Ladies. 9:30am each Wednesday morning, weather permitting. We welcome all Ladies of any ability. Note first Wednesday of each month is a mini tournament day bring a small plate offering.
