We are thrilled to announce that our two positions for Club Manager and Tennis Pro have now been filled. The overall quality of the candidates applying was extremely pleasing. However, after a rigorous recruitment process, and with the help of a professional recruiter, we believe we have sourced the best candidates for the roles in terms of their skill set, experience, attitude and personality.

Club Manager - Feleti Sofele

Feleti is Mr Auckland Tennis DNA. He started playing tennis 36yrs ago and immediately fell in love with the sport. He has played Caro Bowl, and managed and captained so many teams one has lost count. He has been on tennis club committees and been involved as an Interclub Controller. So many tennis people will know Feleti and his lovely smile and positivity.

Feleti has had strong ties with PLTC’s three previous Club Managers and supported many events in the past. A few highlights at Parnell include winning the L’ermitage with Mario Fava & winning the Club Champ singles. His wife, Janine, is a current member of one of Parnell’s Ferrier Cup teams.

Feleti will be overseeing all aspects of the club management from looking after sponsors, being involved with tournaments and other club events,  growing the membership base and making our club the best place to be for its tennis facilities and the great atmosphere we have for all of our members.

Club Tennis Professional - Adam Staub

Adam has been playing tennis since he was 6 years old. During this time, he has competed in NZ and internationally, including in Futures and Challenger events. Caro Bowl and Chelsea Cup were a regular for Adam on a Friday night for many years. 

When he was comparatively young Adam started coaching and realised then, over 20 years ago, that this is what he wanted to do for a career. Adam has a flexible coaching approach and works to adapt to the individual needs of his clients by adjusting sessions to their abilities. His aim is to make sure the sessions are enjoyable but also to present people with goals and challenges. 

For 10 years he was Tennis Auckland’s performance program coach working with everything from the Hot Shots programme through to seniors.

Adam has always been involved with tennis clubs, enjoying the atmosphere and community involvement. He has already brought some great tennis fit and coaching dynamics to Parnell.
